Powdertech Satellite and Anomatch powder coatings offer significant benefits over anodising.
Superior visual consistency
Anomatch and Satellite powder coatings deliver a uniform and repeatable finish, helping ensure a homogeneous look across large façades, framing systems, and feature elements.
The appearance of anodising metal will vary in appearance depending on alloy type, surface preparation, and batch differences, and this can lead to shade variation across panels or profiles.
In addition there is no need to use high grade aluminium for powder coating, whereas for anodising this is preferable.
Also - steel can be used for strength, and have the appearance of anodised metal.
A more cost-effective and sustainable process
Powder coating produces no VOC emissions. It generates less waste than anodising, and, depending on the production setup, can use less overall energy than anodising. Powder coating waste is non-hazardous.

Easier to repair and maintain
Anodised finishes can be difficult to match or restore if they become damaged. Anomatch and Satellite powder coatings are easy to maintain and repair. They can be touched up, or easily stripped and recoated. This avoids costly replacement and extend the lifespan of architectural components.
More colour and finish options
Anomatch and Satellite are available in a broad palette of colours, textures, and gloss levels, which anodising cannot deliver. Satellite finishes gleam and shimmer with light penetrating through to layers of colour.

Powder coating forms a tough external layer that provides excellent resistance to UV exposure, corrosion, moisture, and everyday wear. For projects in demanding environments - especially coastal or high-pollution area - additional primers can be added, making powder coating a reliable solution for long-term performance and appearance retention.

The finish is rated A2,s1-d0 for reaction to fire and is Qualicoat approved. Ideal for facades, feature walls, signage and architectural metalwork.
