1988

Powdertech begins a new chapter in Corby

1991

Corby site doubles in size, to handle work up to 6500mm

2000

First year of trading of the Powdertech Wood Finish brand.

2008

Anomatch added to the portfolio of finishes.

2012

Powdertech Director becomes vice chair of the Aluminium Finishing Association (AFA) and chairman in 2011/12. Become members of the Council for Aluminium in Building, CAB

2017

Chrome-free pre-treatment facility installed. 6-stage Titanium Zirconium for aluminium and 8-stage Oxsilan for galvanized steel.

2018

Evolution range added to the portfolio of finishes. In independent tests, Evolution passes all ISO12206 and Qualicoat specifications PWF is also re-assessed and passes all independent tests.

2019

PWF tested to ISO 13501-1 : 2018 and achieved A2-S1, d0 reaction to fire criteria.

2020

3 new ranges added to the product portfolio. Rust, Stone and Terracotta

2021

Satellite and Freeform finishes launched

The worlds first process to create any pattern locked into powder coating - Freeform.

A new range of ultra pearlescent finishes with depth and mesmerism to rival anodiosing - Satellite

2022

Powdertech changes hands

Having started Powdertech in Corby in 1989 Martyn Green sold the business to the current Directors. 

2023

RIBA CPD approved

Powdertech become the first powder coating applicator to be certified to deliver a RIBA approved professional development seminar. This can be presented to construction professionals to build their knowledge of powder coating.

2024

We are still making history

Powdertech launches PowderLUX©, a powder coating finish with patinated, burnishes and glazed effects, unavailable anywhere else in the UK. 

2025

Gained Qualicoat Seaside certification

So much happened in 2024 that we had to put Qualicoat certrification into 2025. We immediately joined the elite group of powder coaters who have the highest specification, Seaside.
